DR. HUIYING CHEN

Dr. Chen completed her dental school education from 1979 to 1984 at Shandong Medical College in Jinan, China. She then practiced General Dentistry at Peking Union Hospital in Beijing, where she continued her advanced clinical and research training. She graduated from Peking Union Medical College Graduate School with a Masters in Oral Pathology & Oral Medicine in 1990 and served as a faculty dentist at Peking Union Hospital until 1993.

In summer of 1993, Dr. Chen came to New Orleans for the two-year General Practice Residency Program at LSU School of Dentistry, which she completed in 1995. She also pursued her molecular biology research interests as a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at LSU School of Medicine and in the Department of Structural & Cellular Biology at Tulane Medical School from 1995 to 2003.

Since October 2003, Dr. Chen has been caring for her patients throughout the Greater New Orleans area as an associate dentist at Lakeside Dental Care, as well as the practices of Dr. D. D. Yuratich and Dr. L. Van Geffen.

Beginning in September 2015, Dr. Chen has started her own dental practice and continues to provide patients with her professional expertise and compassionate care.
