Q. How often should I see a dentist?

A. The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends visiting a dentist every six months for a check-up and professional cleaning. However, every patient presents a unique oral history and may require additional or fewer visits.

Q. How can I schedule an appointment?

A. There are several options. During office hours, you can call our at (504) 875-3718. After office hours, you can also text your information to (504) 931-7931 or email hchenmds@gmail.com with the message byline of “Appointment Inquiry.

When scheduling an appointment with us, please provide your name, phone number, DOB, new vs. current patient status, reason for calling, preferred appointment time (time of day, weekday), insurance info, and any other pertinent information. We will contact you at our earliest convenience.

Q. What insurance plans are accepted at Dr. Huiying Chen Dental Care?

A. All Indemnity and PPO insurance, as well as Medicare dental insurance, are accepted.

Q. What payment methods are accepted?

A. We accept cash, check, and most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover).

Q. What do I do if I have a dental emergency?

A. If you have determined that you have a dental emergency, we will do our utmost to see you as soon as possible. During working hours, please call our office at (504) 875-3718. After hours or during holidays, please call (504) 931-7931.
